The World Surf League (WSL) has released on its Youtube channel a video series entitled “The WSL Profiles” that introduces several athletes from the world’s surfing elite, having as a starting point their results in the Championship Tour (CT).

It wasn’t easy, but in no heat did I feel uncomfortable. That’s where I have to be at this stage of my life to compete well. It was a turning point for me in terms of discovering how I like to compete and how not to be stressed all the time.

This week, AZUL shares one of these presentation videos, starring Australian Jackson Baker, who talks about the Challenger Series 2021 and his qualification for the CT, telling details about the stage held in Ericeira, which he considers to have been a turning point on his journey as a professional athlete.

In addition to talking about his personal performance, the athlete explains how his career is, at the same time, a tribute to his family, owing to his father the person and surfer he is today, and also shares the last wish of his (now deceased) mother.
