Centro de Artes da Ericeira announces its latest addition to its ever growing collection – the artist Delia de Carvalho. Born in France in 1975, Delia is a Portuguese artist and art teacher based in Guimarães. Her remarkable journey in the art world has earned her acclaim for her unique perspective and unparalleled talent.

Delia de Carvalho holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Drawing from the Escola Superior Artística do Porto (ESAP) and another in Industrial Design Drawing from the School of Arts and Design (ESAD). Since 1999, the artist has been actively involved in the visual arts, participating in numerous solo and group exhibitions that highlight the versatility of her work.

Throughout her career, Delia’s contributions to the art world have not gone unnoticed. In 2007, her work received two honorable mentions – first in “Aveiro Young Creator 2007” and later that year in the “Salúquia to the Arts Award” in Moura. Her commitment to the arts is further evidenced by her role as a founding member of the nocnoc event in Guimarães in 2011 and her involvement in the “Ó da casa!” Association until 2018.

Delia’s artistic talent transcends Portuguese borders, with her works being showcased in private and public collections. In addition to her incredible journey, Delia de Carvalho has already made her mark on the international stage with solo exhibitions in Macau and Brazil. Her illustrations have also been featured in various national and international publications, further emphasizing the global impact of her creative vision.
