On Friday, April 19th, the AZUL Awards ceremony took place at Ribeira D’Ilhas Surf Restaurant & Bar.
This was not only an evening to celebrate the Ericeira and Mafra region but also a gathering for encounters, socializing, music, humor and emotions.
It was the first of what is intended to be an annual gala celebrating and recognizing the Best of Ericeira and the remaining Mafra region
Fifteen individuals and collective entities who have excelled in various fields were awarded, with room for a couple of posthumous trophies and two special trophies.
The winners of the various categories of these trophies – produced by Mad Plastic – were elected through an online vote after the list of nominees was defined by a Honorary Committee composed of experts.
The afternoon, which began with a cocktail on the terrace of the “national surfing visiting room”, continued with a Greek Lyre moment featuring Margarida Marcelino outside Ribeira D’Ilhas Surf Restaurant & Bar.
The ceremony, hosted with great vivacity by the host and comedian Paulo Oliveira, from Bang Produções, took place inside the establishment, interspersed with musical moments by Danny Nascimento, after the presentation by the Digital Artists duo FalcaoLucas of an Instagram filter created for this event.
