As is well known, the Japanese-American surfer Kanoa Igarashi (ranked 7th in the 2025 World Surf League standings) chose Ericeira as his home and training base when he is in Europe.
In these sessions captured by the YouTube channel Ericeira Raw Surf, Kanoa showcases his progressive surfing — defined by polished lines, rail work, speed, and aggressiveness.
His presence never goes unnoticed in the region’s lineups, although Igarashi always maintains a low-profile, humble, and respectful attitude toward the locals.
