At the end of May, Ribeira d’Ilhas hosted Circuito de Surf do Centro – the only event in the region for direct qualifying for the national finals in the various categories of the Esperança Surf National Championship.
The competition, held at the Mecca of Portuguese Surfing, selected Martim Fortes and Afonso Antunes (representatives of Ericeira Surf Clube), Tiago Leopoldo, Gustavo Viana and Maria Salgado for the finals – this championship was included in the schedule of Ericeira WSR+10, a commemorative event of the 10th anniversary of Ericeira World Surfing Reserve.
This tournament took place within the best expectations – although with some strong wind on the first day – and provided great moments of surfing. In the official video of the Circuit, filmed and edited by Vanlife Productions, we can watch or rewatch the best moments of a competition that brought together some of the most talented Portuguese junior surfers.
