Recently, Europe’s Blue Flag Association announced, in Alcobaça, which establishments were awarded the Green Key 2021.
Of the 143 distinguished establishments, three belong to the Municipality of Mafra: Ericeira Camping, Casa das Aguarelas and Eco Soul Ericeira Guesthouse – the latter, in fact, is located in Carvoeira, and none of these buinesses are new to this distintion.

The Green Key awards are part of an international environmental education program for sustainability that promotes sustainable tourism through recognition of tourist establishments, local accommodations, campsites and restaurants that carry out good environmental and social practices, favouriting environmental management in their establishments.
