Summer street entertainment is back in Ericeira and promises to brighten up the town with performances by a series of artists between the July 19 and the August 30, always from 9:30 pm on.
This year the program will be divided between Santa Marta Park and Praça da República (better known as ‘Jogo da Bola’), being distributed by the themes “tributes”, “youth”, “national music” and “international music”.
there will be a total of fifteen musical shows
On Tuesdays, the shows “Cinco Terças para Tributos” (Five Tuesdays for Tributes) will take place at Santa Marta Park, starring Santana Tribute Band (July 19), Ericeira Bowie – Jorge Vadio & The Starmen (July 26), Carlos do Carmo – Quinteto Jazz Lisboa (August 2), Tina Turner – Sónia Costa (August 9) and The Beatles – The Peakles, on August 30.
Also, at Santa Marta Park, under the theme “Música do Mundo” (Music of the World), the public will be able to watch the performances of Silvana Peres (July 28), Bárbara Wahnon (August 4), The Blues Hackers (August 11), Rua da Lua (August 13) and Wajiros d’Lisboa on August 25. A concert by Maninho (August 12) will also be held in the same place to mark the World Youth Day.
The concerts held at ‘Jogo da Bola’ will be “De Portugal ou Em Português” (From Portugal or in Portuguese), with Poetas do Fado (August 5), Ericeira Philharmonic Band (August 6), Xodó (August 26) and Teias d’Aranha, on the August 27.
