Ericeira became a World Surfing Reserve (WSR) on October 14, 2011, after the respective consecration by the international organization Save the Waves Coalition – as a way to protect and promote this surfing zone of unparalleled quality and its respective ecosystem -, and the official website of Ericeira WSR+10 (an event commemorating the 10th anniversary of this WSR which is the second one distinguished at a global level) was recently launched.
The website takes us on a journey through this Ericeira Surf Clube project, which is based on sustainability, and its goals, which include understanding the impact of surfing in Ericeira, promoting awareness of the creation of sustainable sports communities and developing a surfer community based on a healthy and environmentally friendly experience.

The news section reveals the latest news about the Reserve and in the “agenda” you can check all the most important dates of the event, so you don’t miss a bit of this celebration of the 10th anniversary of what remains the only World Reserve Surfing in Europe.
