With the revitalization of the Ericeira Municipal Market, recently announced by the Municipality of Mafra, it is anticipated that this space will not only be a pole of excellence for the commercialization of local products but also a place for residents and visitors to socialize, with a view over the Atlantic Ocean.
The market is located at Largo dos Condes da Ericeira, right in the center of the village, surrounded by buildings from different eras and types. Therefore, the City Council intends to modernize the architectural image and functionality of the building, betting on a contrast with the surroundings and in a contemporary style, but still maintaining the essence of the original construction.

The purpose of this requalification announced in April, in the Municipal Bulletin, is to create new dynamics for using the market. It is planned to create several possibilities for entering the building, so that it is possible to cross it and make public circulation permeable.
By going up from floor to floor, you can access the viewpoint and discover a stunning view of the sea.
Although the market is undergoing a new layout and the equipment is renewed, from a functional point of view, the fishmonger will be maintained on floor 0 and the sale of fresh products on floor 1. Floor 2 will have a new cafeteria and restaurant space, complemented with a dining room on the third floor, where visitors can also enjoy a terrace and the aforementioned viewpoint, which will operate at a broader schedule.
