Ericeira among the best surfing spots, according to Wavelength Magazine

British online magazine Wavelength published in December a surfing guide to Portugal (“Where to surf in Portugal – the Wavelength Guide”) where eight places of the country are mentioned and stand out for the quality of the waves, naturally including Ericeira.

The author, Luke Gartside, considers the village, which has the first European World Surfing Reserve, a place with high quality waves. Most of the attention is focused in Coxos, for the possibility of “getting one of the best barrels of your life”, and Cave, due to the danger held to its mutant waves, that are to surf only by the most experienced surfers – and bold, we add!

Other places mentioned by the one that assumes itself as the first surf magazine of the Old Continent (first printed in 1981) are Minho and Douro, Beira Litoral, Peniche, Lisbon, Alentejo and Algarve.
