Carlos Andrade was crowned master Jiu-Jitsu national champion on April.
The former basketball player, who left the basket four years ago after accumulating trophies and titles for FC Porto and Benfica, started by dedicating himself to surfing before embracing this martial art.
The power of the mind is amazing!!
The 44-year-old former winger only started competing in Jiu-Jitsu this year, as he shared yesterday on his Instagram page:
«Still about yesterday… On January 1st, 2023, I wrote, like 7 billion people, in my “To Do List Before I Die” that I had to compete in a jiu-jitsu competition this year. “Are you crazy?”, “Why?”, “You know you can get hurt, don’t you?” These were some of the reactions I received when I shared this with friends and family. I understand and sincerely appreciate the concerns. Well, I’M FINE I GUESS. PORTUGUESE JIUJITSU CHAMPION. THE POWER OF THE MIND IS AMAZING!»
