The drone technology – unmanned aerial vehicles – is strongly linked with warfare. The USA are the world leaders in the usage of this technology to take out enemies without risking human means. Kilometers away from their target, they operate the device by computer towards the desired place and strike from there.
However, these small vehicles also account for more peaceful uses. Soon Amazon, the online trading giant, will use drones to deliver its products to the consumer, saving on transportation costs. Another exceptional use for these devices allows the capture of fantastic, offering a rare perspective of many places.
This video is an example of such: a small drone which captured a peripheral vision of the S. Sebastião area, showing the Ericeira coastline in a never seen before manner.
