Sumol Summer Fest has confirmed two more acts for this summer’s edition: Bomba Estéreo, from Colombia, and D8 will perform on the 27th and the 28 of June, respectively. The band and the portuguese rapper join the already confirmed acts: Ky-Mani Marley, John Butler Trio, Protoje and Cidade Negra.
Bomba Estéreo, from Bogotá, capital of Colombia, is led by Simón Mejia and is known for its cumbia electronic rhythms and tropical-latin enthusiasm. In 2013 the band released its latest album, Elegancia Tropical, widely acclaimed by the country’s critics.
D8 is a portuguese rapper who was a finalist of the portuguese edition of Factor X. The presence of the young musician will surely be the highest point of his short career thus far and will attract a younger crowd.
Bomba Estéreo perform on the 27th of June with Ky-Mani Marley, Protoje and John Butler Trio; D8 will share the stage of the last day of the festival with Cidade Negra.
On the 26th of June takes place the Welcome Party of the festival. The tickets are already on sale, with the pass priced at 55€ (with camping included) or 40€ (without camping).
Sumol Summer Fest, which is the main current music event in Ericeira, won the prize for Best Medium Sized Festivel last year, granted by the Portugal Festival Awards.
