The 11th edition of Ericeira’s Book Fair started Thursday, July 29 , overlooking the sea.
This year, the fair returns to Largo de São Sebastião (after a one year break due to restrictions imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic) and will stay there until the August 29.
Promoted by Ao Pé das Letras bookstore – in partnership with the Municipality of Mafra and the Parish Council of Ericeira – this seasonal initiative offers hundreds of titles at attractive prices, including novelties or classics, in Portuguese and other languages.
Due to the current pandemic context, the organization of Ericeira’s Book Fair is still not able to tell us on whether this year’s edition will feature the usual cultural program and what will be its possible patterns.
On previous editions, the Book Fair has included several initiatives related to literature and plastic arts, with the presence of writers (present for book launches and autograph sessions) being one of its main attractions.
Ericeira’s Book Fair is open to the public every day between 10 am and 10:30 pm, requiring hand hygiene and the use of a mask inside, and where one should keep an adequate social distance between other people – but never with the works available there!
