Ericeira got into a festive mood with the arrival of Santos Populares, a time when the smell of sardines and bifanas (pork sanwiches) roams the streets and people gather to celebrate these important dates for our culture, which mark the beginning of Summer throughout the country.
In these images, recorded by José Roda at Largo das Ribas, you can watch this celebration with the Marcha da Catequese (Catechesis March), carried out by children, parents and catechists with bright hearts in their hands and musical rhythm from head to toe.
After a period without public celebrations and parties due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Ericeira got together again without restrictions!
