Ericeira World Surfing Reserve has celebrated, on October 14th, its 10th anniversary since it was consecrated by the international non-profit organization Save The Waves Coalition – the Ericeira WSR+10 project (promoted by Ericeira Surf Clube) has been celebrating this important milestone over the past few months.
The only World Surfing Reserve in Europe and the second in the world is characterized by a coastal strip of four kilometers that includes seven world-class waves with unique characteristics and unparalleled quality – Pedra Branca, Reef, Ribeira d’Ilhas, Cave, Crazy Left, Coxos and São Lourenço.
This video, produced on October 14th 2011, appears as a dedication to the award given to the Portuguese Reserve, featuring testimonies from well-known faces in the surfing world, such as Tiago ‘Saca’ Pires or João de Macedo, and also the Executive Director of the Save The Waves Coalition.
