The 13th Edition of the Portuguese Surf Film Festival is just around the corner

The Portuguese Surf Film Festival (PSFF) returns to Casa da Cultura Jaime Lobo e Silva in Ericeira from July 26th to August 4th for its 13th edition.

For 10 days, the village will dive into a sea of history, depicting surfing culture, sustainability, and ocean conservation through surprising and inspiring narratives.

two open-air cinema sessions are scheduled

The lineup mainly consists of documentaries, along with a program packed with art exhibitions, live music, DJs, outdoor movie nights, and much more.

To kick off the festival, “Premiere by You and the Sea” will be presented at La Barraque on July 19th from 7 PM to 9 PM, featuring a selection of short films including “El Dia En Que Los Morros Hablaron”, “Playground”, and “Fifth Tide”.

On July 31st, the PSFF will have a special edition dedicated to women in surfing. Starting at 8:30 PM, the movies “Rainhas dos Picos”, “Extra Happiness”, “The Granny Gromets”, “Catching Time”, “Itinerance”, “Beyond the Crowd”, “Camilla”, and “Paddle to Purpose” will be shown.

Ribeira d’Ilhas will also serve as a screen for another open-air cinema session on August 2nd at 8:30 PM, featuring “Em Memória” and “Translate”. This event has free entry.

Each session costs 5 euros and includes popcorn. Tickets can be obtained through Ticket Tailor.
