The 11th edition of the Portuguese Surf Film Festival was the best and biggest ever. Susana Andrade, founder and director of the film festival, stated that “this was the biggest edition ever, both in terms of the films in competition (43 movies this year) and in terms of public adhesion, which came in large numbers to Casa of Culture Jaime Lobo e Silva, in Ericeira”.
With many sessions sold out, the festival this year brought some novelties, including the long-awaited return to Praia do Pescadores (after 7 years of absence) and a special session dedicated to the new generation, entitled Kids & Surf, with the intention of doing a film workshop during the winter for the youth.
There were also many directors who came to Ericeira to present their works, which allowed the public to know a little more about the inspiration and production process behind some of the films presented.
We selected twenty one pictures that convey some of the main moments of this event.
