It’s been a beautiful few days here in Ericeira.
Just as I like it.
Cold… and full of sun.
A strong sun that warms and energizes.
Since I live here, whenever I look at the sea
the immense horizon… and especially at the end of the day…
when the sunset approaches…
that moment to which…
so absolutely stunning…
there are no words…
I only think:
Here we are closer to God.
This is always my thought.
There is no other.
It’s the best description I can find.
Every day a different show.
Gray days of an agitated, turbulent… and frightening sea.
Others calm and a sea that is so serene that it Gifts us
with beautiful and varied shades of blue.
Others, yet, the clouds draw in the skies
real dream scenarios…
… of charm.
Pastel tones that hypnotize…
scenarios that are true invitations to dive
inside ourselves.
Days and landscapes that
are perfect metaphors for life…
That encourage us to have patience and endurance to
face the toughest and dullest days.
Or having the joy and humility to savor and know how to recognize each one
of the blessings present in our lives.
When looking at the landscape
I feel immense gratitude.
Being able to see everyday the beautiful pictures
that God paints, especially at the end of each day,
is to make sure He is present.
Today, tomorrow… and always.
These soft and solemn moments reinforce in me
the certainty that something deeper
and true awaits us… and contemplates us too…
… beyond all the coldness, evil, inconsistencies and disappointments
that affect and shake us daily…
God is there.
Hence these wonderful and divine astral mechanics
It works flawlessly and uninterruptedly.
And that allows us to fall asleep and wake up
every day.
Starting over.
Enabling that at every dawn
something changes in us, wakes us up from our existential sleep
and makes us go deeper into our
inner questions…
Making use of the wonderful faculties with which he has endowed us.
Intelligence, curiosity, scientific… and critical spirit.
… something that is not just our unconscious
flow through life.
Or the sufferings inherent to this human condition of ours…
Hoping something will make us
finally get closer to Him…
And so…
know it
out there, around us…
but mostly within us.
It’s at that time.
So intimate. So personal.
So “in time” for each one.
That what we once questioned and doubted becomes
a certainty so strong, so sure, true and absolute…
It is at this moment that God touches us.
It is at that moment that we recognize
that we are, each one of us,
a Portal through which Good reaches the World.
Operates in the world…
And begins to change it… for the better.
Because there are only certainties now.
Because the other is no longer judged.
Because our look is already all understanding…
The world, the meaning of life is finally explained to us…
without the use of words… sometimes just contemplating the horizon.
