The Popular Saints (Santos Populares) are a much appreciated cultural tradition in Portugal. And this year Ericeira celebrates them again in Largo de São Pedro, promising to bring with it a lot of joy.
The festivals started on Friday and, for nine days – from June 9th to the 11th; June 16th and the 17th; June 23rd and the 24th; June 30th and July 1st –, the local community and visitors have the opportunity to experience popular festivities with live music, sardines and entertainment for the whole family.

Saint Peter invites the other saints to join in a big celebration. The first days revert to the Festivities in Honor of Our Lady of Good Voyage, with the 23rd, 24th and 30th of June and 1st of July being in charge of the Parish Committee of the World Youth Day of the Parishes of Ericeira and Carvoeira, in partnership with the CNE Grouping 679 Ericeira Scouts.
This initiative is organized by the Festivities Commission in Honor of Our Lady of Good Voyage, aiming to raise funds for the activity of the promoter.
