The International Organ Festival of Mafra presents concerts, conferences and workshops. The 9th edition of the festival, featuring national and international organists, takes place from May 8th to 24th.
The program spans the towns of Livramento, Gradil, Encarnação, Mafra, Ericeira, Santo Isidoro and Enxara do Bispo. It is organized by FIOM, an initiative of the Mafra City Council, under the artistic direction of João Vaz and André Ferreira, with the support of the Mafra National Palace and the Mafra Parish Vicariate.
there will be a special concert in the library of the Mafra Palace
On May 17th, a special concert titled “Lilith – Composers in Countercurrent” will take place at 4 pm in the emblematic library of the Mafra National Palace. Admission is free, with tickets available at the tourist offices in Mafra and Ericeira, as well as at the Jaime Lobo e Silva Cultural Center in Ericeira. Early arrival is recommended due to the walking distance from the palace entrance to the library.
All remaining concerts are also free of charge, subject to venue capacity.
