This Friday, in the context of World Dance Day (celebrated the following day, Saturday, April 29), Amalgama, will present in a special session – accompanied by the artists and a cocktail as an offer – the Film DOC Amalgama in Milharado.

In the words of full professor Amílcar Martins, “20 years of profoundly creative artistic activity have already taken place, always aiming for high levels of ethical, multicultural and ecological citizenship in their approaches and narratological messages of the body in dancing movement, whether those of choreographic discursive evidence, or those of a more subliminal nature and also linked to the art of dance, which crosses several philosophical, epistemological and methodological pillars.”

“The founder of Amalgama, Alexandra Battaglia, also known as Sandra Battaglia, who holds a Master’s in Dance from Lisbon Polytechnic’s Superior Dance School, was naturally the reflective focus of the centrality of these celebrations, by building the structuring script of the film narrative presented, but also its fundamentals, choreographic creations, artistic residencies and work methodologies, which it nominates as a coherent and consistent identity of its own and authorial, continuing in progress determined by the sense of stability in the adaptive change to the signs, in the coherence and creative transformation and free.”

The community is therefore invited to support Portuguese art and artists in a magical place, watching a documentary full of life and stories told through dance while celebrating Amalgama’s entry into the age of artistic, cultural, educational, environmental and cosmic maturation.

The event is scheduled for 8:30 pm in Terra da Fonte (Milharado), with entries costing 5 euros. Ticket reservations can be made via email info.terradafonte@gmail.com.
