A couple of weeks ago, Twins & Fins festival gathered the passions of café racing and retro surfboards in Ribeira d’Ilhas in a unique event never before seen in Ericeira. It was two days in which the waves and the speed of the machines made the encounter a tribute to adrenaline.
In the water, surfing boards celebrated the beginnings of the sport and a culture that rejects its commercial side by going to the water for a series of friendly competitions between youngsters and dinosaurs of Portugal’s surfing community. Outside of the salty, the surfboard’s lovers could enjoy another way of riding: the custom café racing motorcycling.
The event began with heavy rains, but Sunday’s sun graced Ribeira d’Ilhas with dozens of visitors who came to glimpse on this lifestyle of roads and waves. Now it’s time to remember the best of this unique experience in Ericeira through a gallery of warm filters and a rock n’ roll toned video.
