Safiyah, who has more than 10 years of experience in the art of Oriental Dance – in continuous training with internationally renowned professionals –, is a dancer, choreographer and teacher based in Ericeira, teaching regular classes in the Municipality of Mafra and giving workshops throughout Portugal since 2009.
Member of UNESCO’s International Dance Council and highly requested for private and public events, she has performed in the biggest Dance Festivals in Portugal, Turkey, Egypt, Morocco and the United Arab Emirates, developing her activity in several events and shows.
Safiyah meticulously complements and structures her Oriental Dance classes (which have several benefits, from self-esteem and confidence to balance, strength and flexibility, among others) in physical preparation, stretching and relaxation based on her Contemporary Dance, Modern Jazz, Yoga and Pilates practice.

Weddings, birthdays, hen parties, company parties, stage performances, artistic partnerships, auditorium shows, among other types of events.
Safiyah’s shows are notable by exoticism and originality. Her performance surprises with an incredible technique, variety of accessories and luxury suits, moments of great beauty and magic, combined with a dance rich in culture and tradition. It is possible to watch dances with veils, sword, simultaneously playing sagat (finger cymbals) or balancing a candelabrum of candles on top of her head. The dancer offers the possibility of presenting Egyptian, Turkish, Arabian and Turkish Folklore, Classical Persian Dance, Gypsy Fusion and Bollywood. If you want to recreate an atmosphere of One Thousand and One Nights, this will be the perfect fit! Safiyah can perform with more live dancers and musicians. Budgets on request.
