The first stage of Allianz Ericeira Billabong 2014 Tour began with good waves and a warming Sun on the weekend of August 30-31.
The competition had surfing and bodyboarding championships and it was held in Ribeira d’Ilhas and praia da Empam (Reef, Backdoor e Pedra Branca) with glassy conditions for such sports.
Diego Alves (Surf Under-14), Simão Penha (Surf Under-18), Joackim Guichard (Surf Open), Ricardo Pires (Surf Masters), Filipe Cabrela (Bodyboard Open) and Paulo Reis (Bodyboard Masters) were the winners of this first stage.
