Ericeira is the haven for many spirits who seek the soul side of life, through surfing or contact with the sea. Others look for a connection with the divine, with it being present in the several chapels scattered around town or in other temples. This is the case of the Theravada Buddhist Monastery, which is inhabited by four monks: the english Ajahn Vajiro and the portuguese Tan Kancano, Tan Dhammiko and Tan Appamado.
RTP2 made a special report on the Theravada Buddhist Monastery, transmitting the monk’s work and their daily activities.
