Where are you going when you leave the house early in the morning looking for waves, alone or with friends? Where are you going when you speed up on the road so that you don’t miss the morning offshore or the right tide? Where are you going when you drop in that wave when it already seemed impossible or when you ride the waves of a square tube? Where are you going when you beat a heavy and begin to fly?
Regardless of where the finish line is, you have already left towards another reality very different from the daily routine of school or work, towards a spatial and temporal dimension unknown to the common mortal: a dimension where the natural habitat is liquid and salt goes dip into the skin and the veins.
If the destination is more important than the journey, this trip is an ode to freedom.
