Martim Carrasco, an 18-year-old surfer from Ericeira Surf Clube (ESC), opened the new surf season in an unprecedented and different way, suited to the pandemic times we are experiencing: during a training session in Baía dos Coxos, he comes equipped with a protective suit, becoming the first to surf like this in Portugal, at least.
With this video, the athlete intends to stress the importance of returning to the sea and being able to surf freely, alerting to the importance of continuing to comply with the safety rules required by Covid-19: it is up to everyone to comply with the rules of the Directorate-General of Health so that surfing is not banned again.
Martim is the only white spot in the water, contrasting with the other surfers, in a metaphor related to the Coronavirus.
