Mafra Royal Palace’s carillons (inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage list since 2019) constitute a unique instrumental ensemble that keeps a historical path that deserves to be known by the public.
In this video, the respective story is told, making it also known the demanding recovery work carried out by personalities who accompanied this process or who knows these instruments like few others.
To be recalled that in the beginning of February 2020, the inaugural concert took place and celebrated the restoration of the largest bell tower of the 18th century globally and that integrates the cultural identity of the Municipality of Mafra.
