Billabong released on its YouTube channel the documentary ‘Welcome to Ericeira’, featuring a surf zone that has become a global destination. Tomás Fernandes, Tiago Pires, Nick Uricchio, Paulo Martins, Luís Reis, Miguel Fortes and João Valente are a few of the ones who talk about the Jagoz surf’s History and stories.
Between compliments to the quality of the waves condensed in a short coastal stretch – named as “miracle” for a long time – and curiosities, there is also room for the expression of concerns about the rapid development of this village, by Nick Uricchio or Tiago Pires, for instance.
‘Saca’ even claims to fear “losing the urge to be here as much as in the past and in my childhood because i would like to come here to seek some peace and also this connection with Nature… And really, if this continues growing as it has been growing, you can lose this feeling that this place gives you.”
