There are several changes that can be found in the time gap between this image and the present times, in such a way that this photo could well integrate the series “Ericeira – Before & After” published here in AZUL.
One thing, however, has remained basically unchanged over the last few decades: a good part of the jagoz soul lives in this space, which is an authentic (physical and immaterial) heritage of Ericeira.
We can refer to this icon as Porto de Pesca (Fishing Port), Praia dos Pescadores (Fishermen’s Beach), Praia do Peixe (Fish Beach) or, more simply, Ribeira… The fundamental about this is that we know how to honor and value its identity, made of boats and fishermen.
