As a tribute to the eternal feminine, within the scope of International Women’s Day, the Portuguese Surf Film Festival (PSFF) will present a very special session of ‘Women in Surf Films’, which will be presented at Casa da Cultura Jaime Lobo e Silva, in Ericeira, tomorrow, March 8.

This special event will start with music, by DJ Cap, and with Pop Up Art by Women, all from 6 pm to 7:30 pm, when the late afternoon will be accompanied by a welcome drink offered by Quinta da Boa Esperança.

As for the films themselves, from 20:30 onwards, ‘RAW Film’ – a poetic portrait of the French surfer Ambre-Victoire -, directed by Aljaz, will be screened. ‘Sagres’ follows, directed by José Eduardo Zuzarte, about bodyboarder Joana Schenker, who makes her debut in Ericeira and at the Portuguese Surf Film Festival.

Finally, it will be possible to watch, or rewatch, the great winner of last year’s ‘Women in Surf Films’ award, sponsored by the surf brand Mymarini. This is the film “Femme Ocean”, directed by Annika von Schütz, which brings us unique and inspiring stories in which surfing emerges as a tool for female empowerment.

Recall that the 12th edition of the international surf film festival will take place between the 21st and 30th of July this year.

Until May 7, all film creators who wish to present their cinematographic work to the community can apply to show their films in Ericeira, during the festival.
