The festivities in honor of Nossa Senhora da Boa Viagem (Our Lady of Good Voyage) celebrated its 75th edition this year. In common, throughout these decades there was always the tribute and celebration of the Saint Patroness of Ericeira’s Fishermen.
A retrospective exhibition of these festivities was featured on Dr. Eduardo Burnay Street, with photographs and other records that document the essence of the faith of a people whose roots and DNA are rooted in toil, with explanatory texts and historical notes to give visitors some context.
At AZUL, we chose some of the best photographs, in a selection that serves as a record for future memory about Ericeira’s identity.
