The documentary “Marés” (Tides), premiered at AZUL, is starred by the swimmer Miguel Roldão Santos and mostly shot at Ericeira.
In August, we had already talked about the shooting of this documentary, made by David Fonseca, videographer and a friend of this swimmer who maintains a strong relationship with the village, where he made his first dives and his grandparents met, in addition to being his parents’ favourite vacation destination.

Over about eleven minutes, filled with images of enormous beauty and a strong message of overcoming, we went through Miguel’s personal and sporting journey, suspended in times of pandemic.
Instead of being overwhelmed by this situation, he took the opportunity to design new directions that would keep him connected in an umbilical way to his natural element and old passion: water.
This video was produced with the aim of promoting nautical activities, a purpose that Miguel Santos also pursues through his most recent project: in partnership with Frederico Ferreira, from Estoril Swimmers, the Open Waters Swimming School “Nadar Sem Muros” was founded ”, which will also provide tours or classes in the sea of Ericeira.
