Since November, the Mafra Municipal Sports Park has more equipment for the practice of outdoor sports: an obstacle course circuit for free public use. LynxRace Park in Mafra can be used by everyone, integrating 10 different obstacles.
Framed in a natural space, with wooden structures, in harmony with the surroundings, this park has two simultaneous lanes, which allows organizing informal competions between athletes or even small training sessions. Each obstacle has a QRCODE linked to a video that explains how to do each challenge, making it a circuit accessible to beginners as well.

With this equipment, the City Council intends to create conditions for the practice of obstacle races, which is a demanding sport (by testing the personal limits) but fun, aimed at all ages. Thus, the outdoor sports offer in the Mafra Municipal Sports Park – which already has a maintenance circuit, outdoor fitness equipment, a cycle route and, more recently, an initiation route to mountain biking and bike park – is expanded.
After the LynxRace race held in Mafra in September 2021, this circuit will be back in our municipality in October 2022, in what will be the last race of the year.
