Ericeira Surf Clube is participating in the European Best Waters project, which aims to boost environmental sustainability and tools in water sports.
Led by the association Vela Go – Water Sports Experience, this Erasmus+ project also includes the participation of the Comité Régional Olympique et Sportif des Pays de la Loire and the Fuerte Surf Club.
Best Waters project is supported by the European Commission through the Erasmus+ Program
Best Waters intends to fulfill several goals:
➡ Promoting education and knowledge through sport;
➡ Raise awareness about the importance of environmental issues in sport;
➡ Increase the number of practitioners of water sports;
➡ Promoting the benefits of sport.
In order to help entities implement measures for sustainable development, the Best Waters project working group presents recommendations on environmental sustainability in nautical sports.
The Best Waters project is supported by the European Commission through the Erasmus+ Program and aims to identify, at European level, methodologies, good practices and innovative tools to inspire and implement sustainable management models in organizations and sports communities in the water sports sector, in line with the proposals of the European Green Deal and the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations 2030 Agenda, with a special focus on SDGs 3, 6, 7, 12, 13, 14, 15 and 17.
