The Ericeira Parish Council recently won one award that distinguishes it as the best Municipality of the Year.
The “Ericeira Street Art” project was one of the winners at the third edition of the Municipality of the Year Gala awards, awarded by Lisbon Awards Group and Jornal ECO, in the “Culture and Heritage” category, Plastic Arts subcategory.

The Municipality of the Year Award was born with the aim of honoring parishes and municipalities that stand out, in several areas, for their innovative practices and rigorous management in the public interest.
The “Ericeira Street Art” project aims to make use of unoccupied surfaces, creating works of urban art in these spaces linked to Ericeira’s identity traits, history and traditions. The usual themes are related to the sea, fishing, surfing and gastronomy, with works created by national and international artists.
