The music cycle ‘Philarmonic Bands and Orchestras of the Municipality of Mafra’ began on February 12 and takes place at Casa da Música Francisco Alves Gato, located in the Cultural Complex Quinta da Raposa, in Mafra.
This initiative always takes place on Sundays, at 4 pm, between this month and May, bringing representative philharmonic music of various parishes in the municipality.
Filarmónica da Ericeira will take the stage on April 30
The premiere was performed by Associação Musical Nossa Senhora do Livramento and will be followed by the Orquestra Sinfónica de Jovens da Junta de Freguesia de Santo Isidoro, on February 26.
The month turns and on March 12 Casa da Música will host Sociedade Filarmónica 1º de Dezembro da Encarnação; on the 26th, Escola de Música Juventude de Mafra takes the stage for another philarmonic music session.
April opens with a concert by Sociedade Recreativa e Musical de Vila Franca do Rosário on the 16th, ending the month with Filarmónica da Ericeira on the 30th.
Closing this music cycle, on May 14 the sounds of Escola de Música de Enxara do Bispo will take the stage.
Admission to these events is free, although tickets must be acquired at the Mafra and Ericeira Tourist Offices.
