The grand finals of Bodyboard Fest 2013, taking place in Ericeira, will happen on a weekend between the 8th and the 30th of March. The time window previously opened on the 11th of January was changed due to the bad weather conditions for the last two months.
The final stage, which will define the 2013 champions of the circuit in the Open Men’s and Women’s, under-18 and under-14 categories, won’t have a Ericeira challenger and will be disputed among the three best ranking athletes of the three regular stages, that took place in Santa Cruz, Praia Grande and Carcavelos.
On the grand finals there will be present some of the best current and next-gen portuguese bodyboarders, such as Dino Carmo, Miguel Coelho, Guilherme Guerra, Bernardo Esparteiro, João Imaginário and Mauro Bandeiras. On the Women’s category is secured the presence of Madalena Guerra, Sofia Branco, Joana Leitão and Joana Monteiro.
The list of the 44 qualified athletes for the last stage of the circuit was released on January and up for dispute are the Open (Men’s and Women’s), under-18 and under-14 categories.
