A journey to Sumol’s stage

It was a three days Summer festival that grew in enthusiasm just like the temperature of June’s last days. The 6th edition of Sumol Summer Fest brought to Ericeira national and international bands with a focus on Jamaica, from reggae to rock, from dancehall to hip hop.

For instance, we recall the first day of the event as the Supa Squad began with a blasting dancehall that warmed up the public before the entrance of Colombian’s Bomba Estereo. The electro-latin sound of this crew excited the audience as time approached to the performances of the main artists: John Butler Trio, which don’t fail with their live performance, and Ky-Mani Marley, who attracted a crowd of thousands.

The environment went similarly upwards on the second day, with Angus & Julia Stone’s indie and Popcaan’s dancehall antecipating the Jamaican heavy-weight trio: Anthony B with Perfect Giddimani and Lutan Fyah.

Sumol’s stage was the epicentre of the Kingston wave that awashed Ericeira for three days. Now all we can do is remember, through a set of images portraying all the spectacle of the fest, the best moments of Ericeira’s Summer festival.
