To celebrate World Children’s Day, the Mafra Municipal Sports Park will host another edition of “Há Festa no Parque” on May 30 and 31. Dedicated to children, young people and families, the venue will feature games, climbing, slides as well as outdoor activities, entertainment, and various playful experiences.
This year’s edition revolves around the concept “Free. Modular. Playful. Inclusive. Changeable. Creative.” It aims to encourage values of inclusion, diversity and freedom of perspective through free play.

“In a time increasingly marked by acceleration, technology, and reduced free play, it is essential to create opportunities for children to explore, imagine, experience, and interact freely and spontaneously. In Mafra, we believe in a childhood lived with greater contact with nature, public space, and real experiences of sharing and discovery”, says Mayor Hugo Moreira Luís.
The dynamic program for different age groups takes place between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. Designed to stimulate imagination, participation, and shared family experiences, the event is free to attend. Registration is mandatory but entries are not limited.
