Ericeira has been all about surfing for many years. In and out of the water, day-to-day signs of this sport/lifestyle (and currently economically activity, as well) practiced by locals and visitors are multiplying.
This image, captured by Jorge Santos, presents an unusual perspective of a banal frame: a surfer, probably just out of salty water, leaves his footprints behind in the waves of the Portuguese pavement that composes Ribeira d’Ilhas’ promenade, the “visiting room” of Portuguese surf.
