3horas is an new initiative in Ericeira, launching tomorrow, January 9th: expats can contribute just 3 hours of their time to support local causes. By sharing skills, knowledge, or even just positive energy, people can make a meaningful impact and help strengthen the connection between expats and the local community.
The steady flow of foreigners moving to Ericeira has its challenges: skyrocketing real estate prices, higher food costs, and the risk of culture clashes between locals and newcomers are some of the examples. That’s where 3horas comes in. It’s a platform that acts as a bridge between expats and local good causes. The idea is simple: donate just 3 hours of your time (weekly, monthly, or even just once) to support a local initiative.
connecting newcomers with people from the local community
So, how does this work? You can sign up for 3horas, then donate 3 hours (or more) to help local causes. You’ll get updates on opportunities through email and WhatsApp, where you can choose how to get involved. It’s a simple way to share your skills, support the community, and connect with locals. You can get started by filling out the form on 3horas’s website.
By connecting newcomers with people from the local community, this initiative wants to bridge the gap between the worlds of local Portuguese and foreign citizens.
3horas is founded by Matthijs Jaspers, together with a group of likeminded people. AZUL – Ericeira Mag is proud to partner in this inspiring project, alongside Kelp Coworking and Ericeira Business Factory.
