Gabriel Ribeiro is a name on the rise in Ericeira’s surf community. Every stroke he gives on the board, the young athlete of 13, trained by Axel Bellino, marks his position with a unique style, whether in tournaments or free surfing.
“Maldives” is a video that shows Gabriel Ribeiro’s daring maneuvers on these islands waves. In this clip, the young surfer, who rides for Ericeira Surf Clube (ESC), trains on the warm Indian Ocean ripples, looking for evolving his technical level.
Gabriel has recently been one of the highlights in the National de Surf Esperanças (Groms) tournament by ESC. His main references are Tiago Pires, John John Florence and Kelly Slater, so there’s a lot of inspiration to get him really far.
