On the centenary of October 5, 1910, the Royal Family embarked into exile at Praia dos Pescadores, with a historical recreation of this important episode for Portugal and to which Ericeira is connected in an intimate way.
In this video we can see the extras walking along some streets to the beach, in an unprecedented initiative to evoke this episode that well symbolizes the farewell of the Monarchy, on the day currently dedicated to the Republic Implementation.
The territories’ identity is also preserved through actions like this, whether reconstitutions or others, which preserves for future memory traces ignored by many of its new inhabitants.
