Needless to repeat that this Christmas will necessarily be different from the usual, due to the pandemic of the new Coronavirus, which causes Covid-19 disease: it is necessary to increase the physical distance and decrease the gatherings, be they between family members or friends.
In any case, it is also imperative to make the light of this festive season shine with all its strength, guiding us by a spirit of togetherness and optimism regarding 2021, not least because the so desired (and necessary) vaccines seem to be available in a short term.
The municipality of Mafra is commemorating this period with a set of initiatives appropriate to the present situation, among them the projections that colour the Royal Palace continuously between 5:30 pm and 11:00 pm, which can be seen until the 25th of December, alongside the lighting and decorations in public spaces.
