If at first glance Surf and Fado are rather tight, if not antagonistic, realities, Tiago Pires “SurFado” video shows that this sport/lifestyle and our national melody can reveal, after all, certain little obvious affinities.
‘Saca’, the greatest Portuguese surfer ever, nicknamed here “melancholy surfer in look and warrior spirit”, pays tribute to the most legendary Portuguese voice of all time.
In a mix of mini-documentary (as an intro) and Surf video clip – here with the soundtrack of the song “Com que Voz” (“With What Voice”) – Surf and Fado mix in an aquatic journey on the waves of the national coast – and will there be something more linked to the lusitanian Fado (=fate) than the Sea?!
