The 3rd edition of the Portuguese Surf Film Festival (PSFF) – now renamed Allianz Portuguese Surf Film Festival – takes place in Ericeira between the 24th and 27th of July, as the organisers told AZUL.
This marks the return of one of the most renowned surfing cinema festivals in Portugal, celebrating the culture of the sport and its lifestyle combined with the video production arts.
There will be five award categories in this year’s festival: Best Surfing Film, Sustainability, Best Short-Film, Audience Award and Best Soundtrack.
For now it is not known the lineup of films to be exhibited, but the organization has prepared two roadshows in antecipation of the festival: the first one took place at Angra do Heroísmo, Azores, and the next will be at Torres Vedras, next Thursday. “Killing Waves” (by Carlos Carneiro) and “North of the Sun” (by Inge Wegge and Jørn Nyseth Ranum) will be part of this showing.
After the Allianz Portuguese Surf Film Festival takes place in Ericeira, the winning films will be shown in nine cities in Portugal, such as Nazaré, Peniche and Figueira da Foz.
