Applications are open for the 2nd edition of Mafra Dance Festival – a dance event organized by Amalgama Companhia de Dança, with the support of the Municipality of Mafra -, which promotes and disseminates talents and skills, in a variety of positions in Contemporary Performative Dance.
This initiative invites all lovers of the art of movement to take the stage of Casa da Música Francisco Alves Gato to present their work and participate in several activities such as dance workshops, a performative afternoon with a collective dance show and a videodance show, in a sharing and learning environment.
the festival takes place between May 26 and 28
The goal of Mafra Dance Festival is to be a democratic and inclusive space for culture and cordiality, in which independent structures or individuals, professionals or amateurs, can participate, giving visibility to their work and contributing to the development of careers and arts.
This is an event aimed at all dance lovers, artists in training, emerging artists and professionals of all ages. The works will be selected through an open call, by criteria that focus on quality, originality, authenticity, relevance and framing in the festival.
