The 2025 edition of the Rally de Lisboa, scheduled for October 30 to November 1, reaffirms itself as one of the key events on Portugal’s motorsport calendar, not only for its sporting significance but also for its cultural and social impact.
Recognized as an event of National Tourist Interest, the rally returns this year with exciting new features — the highlight being a nighttime Super Special Stage in Mafra.
a course designed for maximum thrills
This stage, closing out Friday’s program, will begin at 9 p.m. and covers 1,860 meters through the heart of Mafra, running along the main avenue and the streets surrounding the National Palace.
The route was designed to deliver maximum excitement against the backdrop of one of the most emblematic Baroque monuments in Portugal, commissioned by King John V in 1717 and today listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Rally de Lisboa has also been standing out for its commitment to sustainability. In 2024 it was awarded the Environmental Sustainability Prize by the Portuguese Federation of Automobilism and Karting, thanks to the measures implemented by CPKA to reduce the ecological impact of the race.
This year the organizers are preparing a new plan to strengthen that commitment, aiming not only to maintain but to surpass the standards already achieved.
Beyond being the only competition that awards the Portuguese Rally Cup, this year’s edition will also, for the first time, be part of the Portuguese 2WD Rally Championship. It will once again feature in the calendars of the International Iberian Rally Trophy, the Peugeot Rally Cup Portugal, the Clio Trophy Portugal, and the FPAK Junior Team.
The official start takes place in Lisbon, following the tradition of previous editions, while the finish is set for Cascais Marina on Saturday, November 1. There, a second Super Special Stage in a City Stage format will precede the prize-giving ceremony and final celebration with all participants.
